Today Offset is read-only. It surfaces the markets and links you to the venue, where you place the trade yourself. As one-click hedging on Hyperliquid rolls out, here is how it stays non-custodial. Hyperliquid orders cannot be signed directly by a normal browser wallet, so the first time you place a hedge on Hyperliquid you approve an Offset agent with one signature. After that, placing a hedge needs no wallet pop-up.

What you are approving

  • An agent (API) key generated in your browser. It is created on your device and is never sent to or held by Offset.
  • The agent can place the hedges you choose on Hyperliquid, but cannot withdraw or move your funds.
  • You approve it once. Clearing your browser data removes it, and you approve a new one next time.
The agent only places trades you initiate, can never touch your balance, and is yours alone. See Non-custodial.
Until then, holding a cover means tapping through to the venue (Polymarket today) and placing it there yourself.
